Job Purpose: To be responsible for the Engineering function with the overall objective of maintaining & upkeep plant assets as per stipulated guidelines.
Ensure continuous operation of Fertilizer (DAP/NPK) plants & Utilities including power generation facility. Manage maintenance of complete Phosphate Fertilizer plants & Utilities. Ensuring the availability of equipments & reducing downtime. OPEX & CAPEX cost control. Project implementation. Core Responsibilities: Ensure the availability of equipment and machinery in Fertilizer DAP/NPK plants & Utilities (mitigate production interruptions to zero to ensure production efficiency). Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance plan and ensuring the maintenance schedule. Preparing, planning & execution of daily maintenance. Arranging and executing jobs safely. Preparation of Tender documents for maintenance activities. Upgrading of system and procedures. Root cause analysis of problems. Implementing the best maintenance practices: TPM, PM, CM to anticipate and identify any issues. Troubleshooting. Spares planning and controlling expenditure. Inventory management. Annual Turn Around (TAM) maintenance planning and execution and completion of activities in timely manner. Complete planning and execution of new projects by coordinating, if requested, with outside engineering and technology companies. Ensuring safe execution of maintenance jobs. Training the team. Work with team and bring maximum output with high efficiency. Report accurately on progress made and challenges encountered. Key Interactions: Function, department head and commercial. Networking with internal and external stakeholders. External consultants. Experience, Skills / Knowledge / Competencies: Proven track record of around 12-18 years with relevant experience in large scale Phosphate Fertilizer (DAP/NPK) Utilities like water treatment, Power generation plant. Must have worked in Large scale Phosphatic Fertilizer industries. Independently handle large cross-cultural teams. Core knowledge in Fertilizer plant equipments like Steam Turbines, Air blowers, compressors, Boilers, converter, absorber, reactors, filters, DRYER, Granulator (Table/Belt), conveyors & static equipment. Competent in Material of construction of Fertilizer DAP/NPK plant equipments, Contracts management, CAPEX, OPEX and Budget preparation. Ability to learn quickly and adaptability are essential.
Performance Measures: Downtime reduction, Cost control, Optimal utilization of resources, Upgradation of system in Maintenance.
Education: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from reputed university (regular 4 years course, not part time).
Certification / Software: MS Office, SAP/ERP system/CMMS, Auto CAD.
