Maintenance ManagementAssist the planner with planned maintenance schedules and resource allocation.Monitor the quality of job card feedback and approve.Over inspections on machines should be done on a daily basis.Ensure spare parts are available for execution of work.Supply the GES with relevant information on machine breakdowns, services and performances.Liaise with control room operators on breakdowns and ensure that artisan response time is within reasonable time frame.Scrutinise the downtime information in the control room system to ensure accuracy.Use the information supplied by maintenance planner i.e., top 10 failures, average time between failures to prioritise resources.Monitor the performance of the equipment after a breakdown or planned maintenance work has been done to measure the Artisan's quality of work.Quality ManagementOver inspections on planned maintenance work should be monitored.The job card process must be acknowledged within 2 days and possible setbacks must be communicated.The oil samples and action taken on recommendations should be within set limits.Labour ManagementDiscuss 'comebacks' with Artisans to identify any training needs and/or poor work performance.Is responsible for workshop discipline and teamwork.Desired Experience & QualificationMust have at least N3 and a Qualified Artisan.Supervisory qualification will be advantageous.Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory designation.At least 5 years post trade experience.Previous experience on heavy mobile equipment in an open cast mining environment.Candidates must have a valid driver's license.PC Proficient • Sound verbal and written communication in English.Must be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines.Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.Package & RemunerationMarket Related
