Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Manage the cost according to the budgetImprove and enforce good maintenance standards and participate in the review of NVC systemsEnsure that equipment is maintained to OEM standardsEnsure that repairs to equipment are done and returned within the time allocatedComply with the Seriti asset management and Engineering Way principlesMeet the Engineering KPI targets in the sectionEnsure MHSA, Minerals Act, SHEQ standards and procedures are always maintained and complied withIdentify and report High Potential Incidents and High Potential HazardsMaintain good housekeeping of the section, machines, workshop, tearoom, and surrounding areas of responsibilitySupervise and manage subordinates, including ensuring that employees are trained, found competent, and authorizedConduct and manage the PTO schedule and conduct VFL interactions on a regular basis with employeesControl overtime of employees and contractors to be within BCEA limitsCoordinate equipment and appropriate task delegation within the teamEnsure that the required resources are available for services, shutdowns, and potential breakdown activitiesConduct inspections and ensure that the section legal file is kept up to dateManage the life of components and their replacementsInitiate and drive continuous improvement plans and implement themRequirements: National Certificate N3 or equivalentRecognized Electrical Trade Test CertificateMinimum 4 years' experience as an electricianSound knowledge of mine safety requirements, particularly for contractorsAbility to plan, lead, coordinate, and control site activitiesSound knowledge of MHSA, safety systems, and a high regard for safety, regulations, and standardsGood organizational, planning, communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skillsMust be able to speak, read, and write EnglishGood report writing skillsMust be able to manage contractors efficiently and effectivelyAbility to cope effectively with pressure in a production environment, be innovative, and a self-starterGood organizational, planning, communication, interpersonal, and supervisory skillsPrepared and able to work stand-by, call outs, and overtimeGas testing and flame proofingSAP ManagementGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office package, i.e., Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & MS PowerPointValid driver's licenseIn possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of FitnessAdvantageous: More than 3 years' experience working in-bye sections equipmentCoaching & MentoringSupervisory DevelopmentFailure AnalysisWork Management CoursesPlease note: Seriti employees can apply on https://seritiza-employee.simplify.hr/Team with their Seriti email address and click on the relevant job title.
