Job Title: Engineer - Maintenance and Efficiency Location: North West, Central District, Lichtenburg Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Agriculture Secondary Industry: Engineering Job Duties: Perform routine maintenance on agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues, and carry out repairs as needed.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
Collaborate with other departments to improve overall operational efficiency.
Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and address them promptly.
Required Qualifications: Proven experience in maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery.
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Education: Degree in Mechnical, Electrical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering  Experience: Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role within the agriculture industry.
Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of agricultural machinery and equipment.
Proficient in maintenance techniques and procedures.
Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Additional certifications in agricultural engineering or related fields.
Experience working with precision farming technologies.
Working Conditions: Regular exposure to outdoor conditions and agricultural environments.
Frequent travel to different agricultural sites within the region.
Potential for working in confined spaces or at heights.
