Job Purpose: One of our prestigious clients in the Maritime industry based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is looking to hire an Engineer I, Piping. Summary of the main purpose of the job as the basic function and scope of the job in terms of organization, geographic areas supported, financial or other volume/size metrics, strategic impact, and nature of supervision received or exercised related to the job in a descriptive manner.Key Accountabilities & Working Relationships:Preparation of design deliverables with consideration for applicable codes & standards.Prepare specification, technical evaluation, Supplier documentation review and expediting with Supplier.Perform calculations applying Piping engineering principles, techniques, procedures, and criteria for Ship Building designs.Interface with other departments to reflect the as-on-date input from other Departments as applicable.Maintain the required technical quality of work.Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process.Ensure that designs comply with the relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.Attend factory inspection reports.Progress monitoring and adherence to scheduled completion of engineering documents.Capture all changes/modifications in the deliverables that have been intimated by projects, prior to the release of deliverable.Qualifications & Experience:Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.Professional Qualifications (Certifications & Accreditations): Preferred: Any additional certification/courses in engineering, AutoCAD, analysis software, 3D modeling, or piping engineering.Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):Basic engineering knowledge in the respective discipline.Awareness of international codes & standards, maritime regulations, and class rules.Knowledge of AutoCAD; Ability to cooperate within a multinational environment.Good communication and presentation skills.Experience: 39 years in the engineering design department of any offshore shipbuilding or shipbuilding industry, as an EPC contractor and/or consultant.Languages: Good communication skills in English (oral and written).Desired Candidate Profile: Education: Bachelor of Technology/Engineering Gender: nm Nationality: Any Nationality
