DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Engine Field Service Technician - Level III to join our team specializing in Service for our Service Operations Department in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Customer Satisfaction: By diagnosing and executing complex repairs efficiently, you'll ensure customers' engine products are up and running, leading to high satisfaction and loyalty.
Relationship Building: Establishing and developing productive customer relations will foster trust and long-term partnerships.
Technical Expertise: Applying specialized tools and documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs will showcase your technical skills and ensure high-quality service.
Preventative Maintenance: Performing scheduled maintenance activities will help prevent future issues, ensuring reliability and longevity of engine products.
Knowledge Sharing: Coaching and developing technicians and apprentices will enhance the team's overall skill set and performance.
Documentation Accuracy: Completing required documentation accurately will ensure proper tracking of repairs, warranties, and quality control.
Sales Opportunities: Identifying additional sales and service opportunities will contribute to business growth and customer satisfaction.
Safety Compliance: Adhering to Health, Safety & Environmental policies will ensure a safe working environment for you and your colleagues, and compliance with regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Strong Leadership Skills: The ability to supervise and coordinate a small team of technicians, both in the shop and in the field, ensuring efficient and effective repairs.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and software, and validating repairs to ensure issues are resolved.
Effective Communication: The capability to document troubleshooting results accurately for payment and historical tracking, and to communicate effectively with both customers and team members.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Skills in escalating technical issues appropriately, utilizing available resources, and balancing timely customer responses with thorough investigation efforts.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience:

Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Proficient in computer skills
Locally valid driving permit
Significant field service work experience
Expert level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
Customer service experience
Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred)
