The Engagement Lead plays a pivotal role in fostering a positive and cohesive workplace culture. This role involves managing the entire onboarding experience to ensure new hires feel welcomed and supported, overseeing key internal communications, and developing initiatives that enhance employee engagement and well-being. This role is responsible for organising events that build community, coordinating health and wellness programs, and implementing feedback-driven improvements. In addition, the Engagement Lead requires leadership in change management and a commitment to an inclusive and engaged work environment, which is essential in creating an environment where every employee can thrive.
Key responsibilitiesOnboarding Management: Lead end-to-end onboarding for new hires, including travel coordination, workstation setup, starter packs, and live sessions to ensure a welcoming start.Onboarding Quality & Culture: Maintain high standards in onboarding by managing facilitators, conducting surveys, and hosting cultural integration events like Gather-around.Internal Communications: Draft and manage company-wide communications, including monthly updates, leaver communications, and key people announcements.Employee Engagement Initiatives: Develop and implement initiatives focused on improving engagement and well-being, including wellness programs and regular engagement surveys.Change & Feedback Management: Lead change management communications and organize feedback sessions to align actions with employee insights.Health, Safety & Well-being: Oversee health and safety standards and wellness programs to support a safe and healthy workplace.Event Coordination: Plan and execute social events, including farewell gatherings, team-building activities, and knowledge-sharing sessions.Social Content Creation: Create engaging social content to boost company presence and promote team cohesion.RequirementsProven (measurable) experience of driving engagement across a growing business. Facilitating conversation and engagement between the business and staff and amongst the team directly.Experience with employee onboarding, internal communications and event coordination.Proven ability to engage team members both face to face and virtually via video calls, social media etc.A good copywriter for social and business posts on internal channels.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organisational and project management skills.Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships across all levels.Familiarity with change management, employee engagement strategies, and internal communication practices.Experience with onboarding and employee feedback methods and tools is a plus.We recognise and value the importance of enabling remote work and maintaining a globally distributed workforce.
