To assist the Employment Equity Unit with the creation of a corporate environment which will encourage the building of a staff complement that is sufficiently representative of the diverse community it serves and possesses the knowledge and skills needed by the organisation.
Qualifications & Experience: Matric coupled with a Human Resources Management qualification (or equivalent) is essential. Knowledge of Disability Equity Management will be advantageous.3-5 years relevant Human Resources and/or Employment Equity experience is required. Experience in working with women development and gender mainstreaming.Good communication skills (verbal and written) and presentation skills.Excellent mastery of Excel.Primary Duties: Ensure compliance with legislation in the fields of Employment Equity, Diversity, and Transformation.Assist in establishing a non-racial and non-sexist culture within the organisation.Submit relevant statutory information to the Department of Labour.Assist in monitoring corporate and site Employment Equity targets to ensure achievement of numerical goals.Monitor a Disability Equity Implementation Plan as well as the Corporate Disability Forum.Monitor the appointment of females and other designated groups in line with the organisational KPIs.Knowledge: Employment Equity and HR related legislation (EE and related transformation legislation).Extensive knowledge of HR policies.SAP HR.Project Management.Skills: Planning and organisational skills.Good communication and report writing skills.Good interpersonal relations and building strategic relationships.Problem-solving skills.Performance and results-oriented.Customer service-oriented with a positive attitude.Self-motivated with a hands-on approach.Policy: We are committed to Employment Equity when recruiting internally and externally.
