MedIT provides information technology support for the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Our mission is to partner and collaborate with clients, University, and third parties to determine value-based, sustainable technology solutions that enable the Faculty to achieve its academic mission.
As the Elements Client Support Coordinator, working under the direction of the Senior Director, Information Technology, you will be responsible for coordinating the roll out and ongoing support for the Elements profile system, which feeds information to Discover Research - a web-based enterprise discovery tool designed to showcase, highlight and celebrate our researchers and scholars and their scholarly work. You will work closely with project stakeholders at the divisional and department level, as well as the central project team in the Office of the Vice President Research and Innovation to keep up to date with project developments, provide feedback and report progress. You will be responsible for implementing the faculty level communications plan to notify faculty and staff of this tool, conducting user experience sessions to improve processes, and developing training materials in a variety of formats that support the needs of the users. You will also be responsible for directing the work of a small team of casually-staffed profile curators.
Your responsibilities will include: Overseeing day-to-day administration of the Elements profile system and serving as the first point of contactImplementing communication plans that support outreach goals and objectivesTraining end-users on procedures and the use of supported IT systems and training staff on new system featuresDeveloping and editing standard operating procedures for IT servicesConducting needs assessments to determine end-user technical requirements and providing consultative advice on IT issuesEssential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experienceMinimum four years of related experience in application supportExperience designing, testing, and modifying graphic programming codeExperience implementing communication plans and promoting events and programsExperience delivering training sessions in different settings (classroom, one-on-one, videoconference) and developing training materialsExperience developing standard operating procedures and drafting technical documentation for project plansAdvanced proficiency with MS Office Suite, survey tools, and videoconference platformsExperience with SSRS reportingStrong communication (oral and written) and strong inquiry skills; excellent presentation and listening skills, natural empathy, and patienceAbility to communicate effectively with non-technical usersExcellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work well as a team member in a multi-professional environment working with a wide range of faculty, staff, and studentsDemonstrated initiative and ability to work independentlyAbility to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure or with competing prioritiesAbility and inclination to keep one's technical skills up-to-date and relevantAssets (Nonessential): Experience with UX design and its principlesTo be successful in this role you will be: InsightfulTeam playerPlease Note: This is a term position ending in September 2025.Closing Date: 09/24/2024, 11:59PM ET
