Electronic Technician

Job Description:Manage electronic systems, including fiber optics, IP networks, databases, and machine softwareTroubleshoot PLC systems (programming not required) to ensure smooth machine operationHandle wiring, installation, and fine-tuning of machines Experience with weighing systems is a significant advantageProvide technical support, conduct customer training on system usage, and offer post-sales assistanceTake ownership of tasks, make quick decisions, and resolve on-site issues independentlyProactively maintain and optimize machine and system performanceEffectively communicate technical information to customers and colleagues, with fluency in Afrikaans being essential Skills & Experience: Proficiency in speaking and writing Afrikaans is essentialStrong IT expertise and experience with electronic technologyCapability to calibrate machines effectivelyFamiliarity with PLC systems such as Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, ABB, Honeywell, or other mainstream PLCsQualification:Diploma or Degree in Electrical and/or Electronic EngineeringValid driver's licenseValid passport (required for international travel) Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
