Position: Electronic Engineer - Avionics & Mission Systems

Systems Design, Development, and Integration. System Testing on a range of platforms / products. Product Development. Flight Test Execution and Support. Incomar is looking for motivated individuals to perform detailed electronic and electrical designs for avionics and mission computing platforms. This includes electronic hardware & PCB design, electrical design, hardware testing, verification and validation and integration of the hardware into the various systems and platforms.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a relevant related tertiary qualification. Required Skills and Experience: 3+ years of electronic hardware development experience. Electronic hardware design & development skills. In-depth knowledge and experience in high-speed digital PCB design. Hardware testing & debugging skills. Product development and system engineering skills involving all aspects of the "V" life cycle and the system engineering management process. Proficient in requirements management (experience with Cradle/Jama/Doors preferable, but not mandatory). Configuration and product lifecycle management skills. Proficient in required design & simulation packages (e.g. Altium, Solidworks Electrical, Ansys, MATLAB, LT-SPICE, MS-Visio). Proficient in MS Office. Preferred Skills and Experience: Military, Defence Industry and/or Avionics development experience preferable. Experienced in PCB development using Altium Designer. High-speed PCB simulation. Knowledge or experience in the RTCA DO-254 design process. Knowledge or experience in hardware environmental qualification to military and civilian standards (RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, etc). Experience in electronic thermal management & simulation. Experience in avionics LRU design & development. Knowledge or experience in firmware development (using VHDL & Xilinx devices). System safety engineering skills. Logistical support engineering skills. Exposure to software version control tools. Responsibilities: Performing hardware item design activities, including the electrical, electronic, mechanical and thermal design aspects. Conducting hardware development according to the "V" product development life cycle and system engineering management process. Performing electrical wiring designs for electrical systems & sub-systems. Performing electrical load analysis for electrical systems & sub-systems. Writing and maintaining specifications related to electrical / electronic / sub-system development activities. Writing and maintaining electrical / electronic / sub-system test and verification documentation. Writing and maintaining system and sub-system hardware interface documentation. Perform, execute and document electrical / electronic / sub-system compliance, verification, validation and qualification activities. Configuration and version management of electrical / electronic system, sub-system and item designs. Simulation, data analysis and report writing applicable to allocated tasks. Ensuring that customer requirements and applicable standards are met. Planning and executing tasks within agreed to budgets and timescales. Contribute towards the improvement and elaboration of hardware design and development processes & tools. Apply sound ethical principles.
