WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Electrician is responsible for performing all designated electrical functions in the department and participate in electrical installations of projects locally and internationally.
Execute all electrical-related tasks efficiently.
Build and wire control panels and junction boxes and connect instruments using manufacturing data packs.
Layout cable racks and trays.
Conduct upgrades to electrical plants.
Provide technical support to the department.
Attend meetings and report daily on project status.
Travel internationally for plant installations.
Adhere to safety guidelines and avoid risky practices.
Execute design reviews of instrumentation drawings.
Investigate failures and ensure corrective action is taken.
Oversee the installation and assist with plant commissioning.
Provide training/support for products/systems/equipment.
Assist with instrumentation design and review activities.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE
N3 Certificate with Electrician Trade Certificate (Red Seal)
Wireman's Licence would be advantageous.
Minimum of 3 years of qualified electrician experience.
Knowledge of PLC programming would be advantageous.
Strong understanding of electrical and control circuit layouts.
Familiarity with installation requirements in explosive environments.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience with ERP systems like SAP is advantageous.
Energetic, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and initiative.
Good communication, planning, and organizing skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with multiple internal and external disciplines.
