Suitably qualified candidates who meet the requirements of this role are invited to apply for this vacancy.The Electrician will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day electrical maintenance on all electrical equipment to ensure safe, reliable and cost-effective maintenance and operation.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure maximum utilization of Artisan and Artisan Assistant by reviewing maintenance priorities and assigning tasks to maintenance personnel.Participate in planning activities to ensure the proper manpower, materials, and methods are employed to effect minimum disruption to production.Develop and document detailed procedures addressing all aspects of electrical equipment.Lead continuous improvement initiatives through the development and application of effective reliability strategies.Provide technical support to the on-site project department.Plan and control plant shutdowns by assessing long-term requirements, drawing bar charts, and organizing and supervising plant and contract labor. Initiate requirements for consumables and equipment spares by submitting store requisition cards and requirements lists to the store administrator.Minimum RequirementsMust have (N3) in Electrical Engineering;Must be Electrician Red Seal Trade tested;Must be in possession of a Wiremans Licence;A minimum of 10-years HV maintenance experience on HV motors, HV breakers, transformers in the gas or related industry;A minimum of 5 years' experience on HV Synchronous motors and excitation systems;Knowledge of protection relays;Knowledge of predictive maintenance;Must have good understanding of the electrical engineering standards;Must have good verbal and written communication skills;Computer literate and basic proficiency in MS Office suite with proven experience in Excel;Must have valid unendorsed Drivers license with own vehicle.
