ELECTRICIAN
COMPANY OVERVIEW
Our client has been in operation since 1982 and with 40 years of knowledge & experience, they have built a reputation for delivering a dynamic, reliable, and friendly service to domestic and commercial clients across the South of England.
Due to their success and expansion this year, they are looking for an experienced Electrician to work out of their Wiltshire branch and cover clients across the South West.
Working within many different sectors, they provide a full range of design, installation, and maintenance services for electrical, heating, plumbing, fire, and security systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Uses a working knowledge of electrical systems to conduct maintenance, fault finding, and diagnostics on existing systems.
Installs new electrical systems, including lighting and heating, to customer standards and maintains those systems while upholding safety guidelines and complying with codes and regulations.
Installing, maintaining, modifying, and repairing electrical systems in both domestic and commercial environments.
Ensuring the electrical systems adhere to the electrical safety standards and regulations.
Using plans, wiring schematics, and manufacturers' installation manuals to complete projects.
Diagnose and repair electrical problems in commercial and domestic electrical systems, including fault-finding, rewiring, testing, and monitoring.
Assess and order the parts required for a job, completing work orders and recording materials that are used on the job.
Conduct routine maintenance and testing on commercial and domestic electrical systems, ensuring installations are to manufacturer standards.
Identifying electrical problems and repairing them, escalating problems as required.
Ensure good quality workmanship which upholds Company standards, complies with building codes, and follows safety standards.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications or equivalent electrical qualifications (ECS Gold Card).
City and Guilds Inspection and Testing Certificate (2391).
Working knowledge of IEE Regulations.
Able to demonstrate familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
Previous experience of working as an Electrician or Electrical Improver.
Knowledge of Policies, Processes, and Procedures including Safety.

SALARY & BENEFITS
In return, our client is offering a salary between £35k - £37k (DOE).
Company Van, Fuel card, Company mobile phone and relevant IT equipment (depending on role).
28 days (including bank holidays) with an additional one day added per every 2 years' service (up to 25 days).
Pension scheme enrolment after 3 months service.
Cycle scheme, Tech scheme, Long-service awards, Enhanced overtime rates, Callout retainer for Engineers, Travel time paid one way – from home/main office to site (whichever is nearer).
