Carry out Preventative Maintenance, Repairs and Installation on Electrical EquipmentFunctional Area Components(The main components for each Key Function that describe the standard of performance required)Preventative Maintenance, Repairs and InstallationConduct scheduled preventative maintenance on electrical equipment in respective facility in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety Act.Maintain lights, plugs, distribution boards, and other small electrical items.Inspect and test DB earthing and test earth leakage.Ensure that electrical reticulation complies with safety and environmental requirements.Attend to minor electrical breakdowns, prioritise, plan, and order spares.Ensure each planned maintenance job card has a task sheet attached.Ensure that all staff working on the job have appropriate PPE.Ensure that risk assessment and LOTO procedures have been followed.Ensure all tasks relevant to the planned maintenance are carried out satisfactorily, in accordance with legal requirements and OEM.Complete job card in full and obtain completion signatures.Submit completed job card for closing.Report any follow-up work and any safety-related matters noticed.Complete plant log book.Electrical DutiesTrain, develop, and uplift junior staff through knowledge and skill transfer.Ensure that all tools used are well maintained, and the correct tools are used for the relevant trade.Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.Give feedback to helpdesk at each critical phase of the repair job.Demonstrate teamwork and readiness to assist fellow employees.Adhere to AFMS Policies, Protocols, and Procedures.OHSA ComplianceEnsure compliance with all Health and Safety Standards.Implement Contractor Health and Safety Management system with staff and sub-contractors.Qualification Requirements And Work Related ExperienceGrade 12 or equivalent.Minimum 4 - 5 Years Relevant Experience.Nat Dip in Electrical N3 / Electrical Trade Certificate.Minimum Knowledge RequirementsKnowledge and good understanding of applicable Health & Safety regulations and procedures.Electrical Maintenance and procedures.Electrical Equipment and machinery.OHSA codes and Health and Safety Procedures.SkillsPlanning and Organizing.Applying Technical Expertise.Analysing Skills.Deciding and Initiating Action.Managing Performance.Relating and Networking.Following Instructions and Procedures.Values / BehaviouralReliability.Responsibility.Integrity.Commitment.Diversity and Inclusion.Additional Responsibilities And SkillsHave the ability to take on additional responsibilities.
