Electrician

- Install, maintain, and repair all electrical systems and equipment onboard the vessel, including generators, motors, lighting, and control systems- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, and perform necessary repairs- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly and in compliance with safety regulations- Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed and report any issues or concerns to the Chief Engineer- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment- Train and supervise junior electrician and other crew members on proper electrical procedures and safety protocols- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your fellow crew members- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in electrical systems and equipmentQualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited electrician apprenticeship program- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an electrician in a marine or industrial setting- Knowledge of marine electrical systems and equipment, including generators, motors, and control systems- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and procedures- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Willingness to work long hours and in all weather conditions- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Valid electrician's license or certification- Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
