REQUIREMENTS:
•
At least 3 years' experience at a supervisory level, specialising in electrical work, preferably in the hospitality industry.
•
Working knowledge of general maintenance work, i.e. building, plumbing (external heat exchangers, heat pumps and boilers), welding, painting, tiling and decorating.
•
Basic knowledge of HVAC System and refrigeration and cooling system.
•
Thorough knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
•
Must enjoy working with people and as part of a team.
•
Must be organized with an eye for attention to detail.
•
Computer literate – MS Office
•
Excellent Communication skills
•
Sober habits and well-presented
•
Team player and ability to work independently
•
Able to work shifts
QUALIFICATIONS:
•
Minimum Std. 10 (Grade 12).
•
Qualified Electrician essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•
Required to ensure that the scheduled preventative maintenance of all electrical equipment is maintained at the highest standard.
•
Daily property monitoring of essential electrical equipment..
•
Provide preliminary sketches and cost estimates for materials and services.
•
Inspects electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes.
•
Assembles, installs, tests and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures using hand and power tools.
•
Identifying the need for the installation of emergency panels/distribution boards when required and overseeing the project management of it.
•
Assisting with the supervision of contractors and maintenance projects.
•
Supervision of a team of serviceman within the maintenance department and assisting with normal daily maintenance job orders.
To offer an efficient, friendly and courteous service to guests needing maintenance assistance in the rooms during their stay.

To always act in a respectable, exemplary and supportive manner with and around the Maintenance Team
