Key Responsibilities:Electrical Installations: Perform installations of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, circuit breakers, and other electrical components in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose electrical issues and carry out repairs and maintenance on existing electrical systems and equipment.Safety Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards, codes, and regulations.Testing & Inspection: Conduct testing and inspection of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or areas in need of improvement.Project Management: Plan and execute electrical projects from start to finish, including estimating time, resources, and costs.Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve electrical problems efficiently and effectively, minimizing downtime and disruption.Customer Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand their electrical needs and provide expert advice and solutions.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including job reports, material usage, and safety inspections.Team Collaboration: Work closely with other electricians, apprentices, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects.Emergency Services: Be available for on-call emergency electrical services as needed.Requirements:Education: A relevant trade qualification in electrical work (e.g., N3 Electrical Engineering, Trade Test Certificate) is preferred.Completed Grade 12.Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Electrician.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards. Proficiency in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues and implement effective solutions.Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of electrical work.Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.Driving License: A valid driver's license is required.
