Electrical Technician

Testing electrical systems and components for functionality, safety, and compliance with regulations. Troubleshooting electrical problems, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions. Performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment. Preparing drawings, plans, and diagrams of electrical installations and circuitry. Assisting in the design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on substations, switchgear, cabling systems, and motor control systems. Assembling, installing, testing, calibrating, modifying, and repairing electrical equipment and installations to conform with regulations and safety requirements. Undertaking electrical workshop functions such as installing assemblies for protection relays, metering, and indicating devices. Constructing and fabricating parts, using hand tools and specifications. 1. Btech in Electrical Engineering 2. South African citizen 3. Driver's license and must be able to drive 4.
