Electrical System Installation and Maintenance: The Electrical Technician will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems.Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identifying and resolving issues with electrical systems through troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures.Compliance and Safety: Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and regulations, and promoting a safe working environment.Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and equipment.Conduct inspections and tests to identify electrical system malfunctions.Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate tools and equipment.Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.Install and connect wiring, conduit, and electrical panels according to specifications.Ensure proper grounding and bonding of electrical systems.Perform electrical maintenance tasks, such as cleaning contacts and lubricating equipment.Test and calibrate electrical systems to ensure proper functioning.Follow electrical diagrams and blueprints to install and troubleshoot systems.Keep accurate records of electrical repairs, maintenance, and service history.Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers and colleagues.Respond to electrical emergencies and resolve issues in a timely manner.Stay updated with electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices.Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.Assist in training and mentoring junior electrical technicians, if applicable.Maintain inventory of electrical parts, equipment, and supplies and coordinate their procurement.Collaborate with other trades and departments to coordinate electrical work.Ensure compliance with relevant electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelinesEnsure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines.Follow safe work practices and procedures when working with electrical systems.Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with electrical equipment.Diploma or certification in Electrical Technology or a related field.Knowledge of electrical system installation, repair, and maintenance practices.Understanding of electrical principles, codes, and regulations.Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical system issues.Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.Familiarity with electrical testing and measuring equipment.Basic knowledge of electrical controls and circuitry.Good record-keeping and organizational skills.
