Job OverviewWe are seeking an individual with a GCC and 2 years of experience in the FMCG sector for a well-established Food Manufacturer in Durban. The role involves managing electrical and instrumentation maintenance, supporting general plant maintenance, optimizing processes by initiating equipment improvements, and providing engineering support to a multi-disciplined maintenance team. For inquiries, please contact Antoinette or Kaylin at 0861 FENRIS (336747).Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage and improve plant safety by ensuring compliance with legislation.Assess risk involved in conducting various jobs and activities, particularly in high-risk areas (high pressure superheated steam, sulphuric acid, anhydrous ammonia, chlorine gas, phosphoric acid, nitric acid).Ensure accurate drawings and documentation are updated with all projects and modifications.Conduct HAZOP study & participate in HACCP study.Interface projects/modifications with production.Manage change and modifications.Lead project/modification commissioning when required.Ensure plant personnel are trained to operate new processes/equipment and that SOPs are provided.Comply with ModProp process.Identify recurring troublesome equipment/problems and propose and implement alterations/modifications where agreed.Assist maintenance to resolve breakdowns timeously.Desired Experience & QualificationRequirements:Btech / B.Eng. (Electrical) + Government Certificate of Competency.Minimum 2 years' FMCG maintenance engineering experience covering all engineering disciplines – Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation/Civil.Knowledge of OHS Act, Hazardous Chemicals, and National Environmental Legislation.Expert knowledge of all major plant equipment.Package & RemunerationHR Services, Recruitment & Selection.
