Electrical Engineer - Eskom Projects

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical Engineering
Must be registered with ECSA as Pr Eng or Pr Tech.
Minimum of five years' experience in design and construction management of Eskom and Municipal Distribution & Reticulation networks and being well versed with Eskom, SANS, NRS and IEEE standards.
Proficient in MS Office Suite, MicroStation and Autodesk Suite, CDEGS (AutoGrid Pro).
Experience with Power office and Retic Master.
Knowledge of PowerFactory (DigSilent) will be an advantage.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

A good understanding of building services, working within a multi-discipline project environment.
Knowledge of renewable energy solutions and Grid Code Compliance would be beneficial.
Proficiency in English with exceptional communication and report-writing skills.
Ability to work under pressure and independently on complex tasks.
Executing Electrical Projects from ECSA Stages 1 to 6, including design drafting.
Managing commercial, quality, resourcing and technical risk during project lifecycle.
Strong communication and people relation management skills.
Innovation throughout project lifecycle, Liaison with supply authorities and clients, Management of service providers.
Willingness to mentor junior staff members.
