Howden's core focus is on providing quality solutions for air and gas handling and has over a century of experience in doing so.Howden South Africa Division is looking for an experienced EHS Manager for a project at Tutuka Power Station on a fixed term contract.What needs to be done?Accountable for HSE on the site to ensure Howden complies legally and with its own internal procedures.Plan, implement, and execute safety management programs.Observe, audit, and monitor safety on job sites, including personnel, equipment, and materials.Conduct audits, inspections, and performance reviews to ensure compliance.Coordinate the site EHS meetings.Provide guidance to the project management team regarding health and safety issues and ensure the site complies with all.Manage and lead inquiries on accidents and injuries.Ensure that all employees work in accordance with the internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good engineering practices.Assessment of health and safety practices and procedures for risk assessment and adherence to legal requirements–JSA / Risk Assessment champion.Responsible for the safety administration, job observations, recording of safety requests/complaints/near misses, and investigation of all incidents.Conduct audits on subcontractors before allowing them onto site to determine the level of compliance and suggest corrective action.What do you need to bring?National Diploma in Safety Management or higher.SAMTRAC.SACPMP Registered as a Construction Health and Safety Manager – Advantageous.Extensive SHE exposure in industrial/manufacturing environment.3 to 5 years working experience.Incident and accident investigation course.Fall protection development.Basic SHE audit course.ISO14000 environmental certified.ISO 45000 certified.Must be computer literate.
