Ehs Coordinator

Howden South Africa Division is looking for an experienced EHS Coordinator to ensure that the customer sites where Howden performs maintenance and installations comply with SHE standards (internal, client standards, and statutory compliance).
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…What needs to be done? Accountable for EHS on the various Maintenance and GO sites to ensure Howden complies legally and with its own internal procedures.Responsible for the safety administration, conducting job observations, and recording safety requests/complaints/near misses, and investigating all incidents.Accountable for the roll-out of all safety requirements to sites and providing feedback about the roll-out to ensure compliance with internal safety requirements.Conduct audits on subcontractors before allowing them onto site to determine the level of compliance and suggest corrective actions.Assess risks on sites and write risk assessments and safe work procedures to enable work to be done.SOX Compliance: Adhere to Sarbanes Oxley and AX controls.Your Education Should Be…Grade 12Safety Management DiplomaSAMTRACISO 45001 certified will be an additional advantageISO 9000 Safety and quality certified will be an additional advantageISO 14000 environmental certifiedOHSAS 18001 certifiedYour Professional Experience Should Be…5 years' experience in a similar positionIncident and Accident investigation courseHIRA courseBasic SHE audit courseExtensive SHE exposure in industrial or manufacturing environmentMicrosoft Office experience
