About the role
Are you up for a completely different kind of challenge? We are looking for an Editor to join our team.
Our agency is looking for a motivated & savvy freelance wordsmith to provide copy editing support to our internal Content team. The ideal candidate can thrive in a fast-paced environment to curate compelling and accurate content for our Amazon clients. Your primary duty will be editing and fact-checking content created by our team, ensuring that content is free of grammatical errors, incorrect facts, and style inconsistencies. You will be required to collaborate with our internal team to deliver quality projects on time. To excel in this role, you will need experience in developing and editing content, as well as have excellent communication and organisational skills. Being flexible and able to learn about whatever category the client sells in will set you apart.
Key responsibilities

Research and understanding brands that you are working with.
Editing and Proofing (Primary)/ Writing (Secondary) product detail page content for a range of Amazon clients to ensure that it is SEO optimised, error free, and portrays the brand.
Reviewing text and images for errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling and check for readability, style, and in agreement with brand/style guidelines.
Communicate edits to the other authors and reach agreement on final drafts so that members are aware of issues and can improve in future work.
Collaborate with Head of Content and Team Lead to ensure that work is of the highest standard.
Keep abreast of industry developments and trends with regards to Amazon content guidelines, updates, and restrictions.

What you bring to the role:

A minimum of two to three years experience of Copy Editing in an E-Commerce Marketplace is essential.
E-commerce Marketplace experience, preferably on Amazon, is highly advantageous.
Good understanding of the Digital Marketing landscape, with a focus on e-commerce advantageous.
Strong Editing and Writing capabilities.
Digital Marketing or English/Writing tertiary education would be advantageous but is not a requirement.
Super organised and calm under pressure.
Comfortable dealing with multiple tasks.
Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Fluent in both written and spoken English, with outstanding communication skills.
Ability to learn at an accelerated pace, with a view to being fluent in the Amazon environment.
