Role Responsibilities:The management of eDiscovery and digital forensic engagements which includes being the primary contact for clients.Own and develop client relationships to identify opportunities where Salient can collaborate and support clients in forensic investigations, dispute resolution, and litigation matters.Assist in the development and refinement of eDiscovery/digital forensic methodologies and technologies.Stay abreast of developments in the eDiscovery/digital forensic industry; new technologies and best practices.Manage and mentor more junior Salient personnel in the eDiscovery/digital forensic methodologies and technologies.The imaging and preservation of ESI (Electronically Stored Information) in a forensically sound manner.Processing ESI into our Cloud hosted eDiscovery platform, this will also involve the analysis of data and the troubleshooting of issues during processing. You will also be required to support customers in their investigations and litigation matters.Work with other Salient eDiscovery and digital forensic personnel and our solution architects in implementing forensic and eDiscovery solutions that meet our client's needs.In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. Your goal will be to ensure that all deliverables are understood and met.It is required that continuous learning practices are maintained.We are looking for someone that is passionate about what they do and wants further growth in the eDiscovery and digital forensic spectrum.You will be required to perform a wide range of tasks including:Develop and foster relationships with existing and new clients to grow our eDiscovery and digital forensic services and add value to our clients.Consult to our clients on the management of their eDiscovery engagements, including the preservation, collection, processing, analysis, review, and production of ESI. This includes managing client relationships.Train, manage and mentor more junior personnel in forensic acquisition and eDiscovery methodologies and technologies.Preserve and collect ESI in a forensically sound manner (imaging of devices such as laptops and mobile devices).Process acquired ESI into the eDiscovery platforms (ingestion, Optical Character Recognition, deduplication, key term analysis etc.).Analyse processed ESI and apply parameters (e.g. keywords, dates, communication analysis etc.) for filtering purposes.Identify and retain potentially relevant documents for Review.Train Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms to identify relevant documents and information.Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software.Continuous learning and knowledge sharing.Experience Requirements:Three to four years' work experience in the eDiscovery and digital forensic industry, locally or abroad.Experience in forensic imaging, eDiscovery and data analysis.Experience in managing eDiscovery and digital forensic engagements.Experience in managing and growing client relationships.Experience in managing and mentoring more junior personnel.Understanding of forensic principles, chain of evidence and legal processes.Computer literate, specifically working with Microsoft 365 packages, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.Minimum Requirements:University degree and/or equivalent experience in Forensic Accounting, Computer Science or Information Systems (BSc or BCom).Three to four years' work experience in the eDiscovery and digital forensic industry, locally or abroad.Desired Skills:Good troubleshooting skills.Good communication skills.Resourceful and able to find relevant solutions.Attention to detail.Flexible and adaptable.Ability to self-manage and be results driven.Ability to work independently in a cross-collaboration and fast-paced environment where technology and customers' requirements can change regularly.
