Role Overview:We are seeking a Strategic Foundry Manager to lead and optimize our Foundry operations. This role is ideal for an individual with a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership skills, ready to drive innovation, improve processes, and ensure operational excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will not only oversee the day-today operations but also contribute to long-term strategies that align with our commitment to sustainability, quality, and cost efficiency.Key Responsibilities:o Leadership & Team Developmento Provide strong leadership to the foundry team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and safety.o Develop and mentor team members, ensuring skills alignment with current and future business needs.o Operational Excellenceo Drive improvements in foundry processes, productivity, and output quality.o Utilize lean manufacturing principles and data-driven strategies to minimize waste and enhance efficiency.o Strategic Planningo Develop and implement strategies to ensure the foundry remains competitive and aligned with industry best practices.o Stay abreast of technological advancements in foundry operations and spearhead initiatives to adopt new technologies.o Quality Assurance & Complianceo Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and customer specifications.o Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.o Cost Managemento Manage budgets effectively, driving cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality.Requirements:Educational Background:Bachelors degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced qualifications are advantageous.Experience:Minimum 10 years of experience in foundry operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the automotive or related manufacturing sector.Technical Expertise:In-depth knowledge of aluminium casting processes.Skills:Strong leadership and people management abilities.Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Proficient in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologiesExceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Attributes:Proven track record of implementing sustainable manufacturing practices.
