Senior Specialist for Economic Development Reporting and Contractor ManagementOur client, an established international power plant owner and operator with a significant presence in South Africa's renewable energy landscape, seeks an experienced Senior Specialist for Economic Development Reporting and Contractor Management. This role entails designing, implementing, and managing Economic Development reporting systems for multiple Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in South Africa. The candidate will work closely with Finance and Operations departments, preparing compliance reports according to Implementation Agreements.Duties & ResponsibilitiesDesign and manage ED reporting frameworkIdentify reporting requirementsDesign reporting frameworksEnsure optimal use of Trimax and IFS systemsDevelop, pilot, and validate monitoring tools and design data collection proceduresInternal and external ED/ESG reportsEstablish systems for collating and verifying ED dataLead team's information management, including SharePoint processesDevelop user-friendly monitoring reports for informed decision-makingCollaborate with corporate team on ESG reporting for SA assetsManage and coordinate ED AuditsCoordinate ED audits with IPPOManage report collation and response, collaborating internallyTrain internal team members on IA elementsManage ED contractorsCollaborate with Commercial and Legal teams to ensure ED contracts comply with company guidelinesEnsure that all beneficiaries and service providers are properly contracted, and that contracts and agreements are renewed or terminated accordinglyImplement contractor management through a structured mechanism to ensure that contracted services are deliveredED Budget planning, management, and controlWork with the ED Specialist and Finance team to track quarterly and annual spend obligationsMonitor performance and highlight deviations for decision-makingCompile annual budgets and lead AOP/Annual Budget process for ED cost centresDesired Experience & QualificationProficient computer literacy, specifically Excel, PowerBI, and Word, and in the development of data systemsA primary degree or equivalent NQF level in Finance/Development Finance/Auditing with a strong numeracy biasThree to five years' experience in economic development monitoring, sustainability reporting or development impact measurement & evaluation and reporting, ideally within the mining, energy, or industrial sectorsDemonstrated knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation systems developmentReporting systems development and managementExposure to and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 suitePowerBIESG reporting
