plus company car, cell phone allowance and medical aid.About the organisation ` Our client is an established global firm specialising in (E-Waste), and recycling of preciousmetals from printed circuit boards (PCB) and spent automotive catalysts (SAC).Role responsibilities: Our International Client is seeking a Senior E-Waste Manager to lead our e-waste recycling andprocessing operations in South Africa.
The role involves managing a dedicated team and is highlytarget-driven, focusing on maximizing efficiency and profitability in the recycling of e-waste materials.The successful candidate will ensure compliance with environmental regulations, oversee the logisticsof e-waste collection, sorting, and processing, and work closely with management to drive thecompany's strategic goals in urban mining.Key Responsibilities: - - - - Team Management: Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of five e-waste processing professionals.Ensure team performance is aligned with company targets.Operational Leadership: Lead daily e-waste operations including collection, dismantling, sorting, andrecycling processes.
Ensure processes adhere to environmental and safety regulations.Target Management: Set, monitor, and achieve key performance indicators (KPIs) related to e-wasteprocessing volumes, recycling efficiency, and profitability.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to optimize e-waste processing, reduce costs,and increase recovery of valuable materials such as precious metals and critical components.Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with local and international environmental regulations,certifications, and company policies.Prepare regular reports on operational performance, efficiency, and financial outcomes.
- - - -Supplier & Client Relations: Collaborate with suppliers of e-waste, stakeholders,and clients to ensure a steady stream of materials and support business development opportunities.Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in operational efficiency,safety protocols, and environmental impact reduction initiatives.Inventory & Logistics Management: Oversee inventory levels and coordinate logistics for thetransportation and storage of e-waste materials.Training & Development: Facilitate training programs for the team to stay updated on the latest industrystandards and e-waste management techniques.Role Requirements: - - - Experience: Relevant degree/Diploma- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in e-waste management, recycling, or related industries.- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing teams and meeting targets in an operationalenvironment.Technical Skills: -Strong knowledge of e-waste recycling processes, materials recovery(especially precious metals and critical components), and waste stream logistics.- Familiarity with environmental regulations related to e-waste and hazardous materials.-Experience using management software for logistics, inventory, and operations.Personal Traits: - Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.- Results-oriented, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding operational targets.- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projectssimultaneously.-High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.
