Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly dedicated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at the Strandloper Ocean Boutique Hotel. In this key role, you will oversee and manage day-to-day operations to ensure the smooth functioning of the hotel, uphold high standards of guest satisfaction, and provide leadership across departments. The Duty Manager will be the face of our hotel and work closely with our General Manager, ensuring our guests experience consistent, exceptional service and that all hotel operations run seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring all departments (e.g., front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance) function smoothly and consistently meet hotel standards.
Act as the Manager on Duty, taking on leadership responsibilities and decision-making authority in the General Manager's absence to maintain seamless service.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback, striving for prompt and effective resolution to enhance guest satisfaction.
Guest Services and Quality Assurance
Ensure all areas of the hotel consistently exceed guest expectations, focusing on cleanliness, service standards, and overall guest satisfaction.
Implement quality control checks and work with department heads to identify and address areas needing improvement.
Engage with guests regularly to obtain feedback, personalize experiences, and ensure service excellence in all guest interactions.
Staff Supervision and Development
Collaborate with department supervisors to ensure staff adhere to service standards and operational protocols.
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and training of staff, fostering a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing support and guidance to staff, promoting high morale and productivity.
Administrative and Financial Support
Assist with administrative functions, including scheduling, reporting, and documentation for hotel operations.
Monitor expenses and support the General Manager in managing budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Implement cost-effective measures and support financial goals without compromising on service standards or guest experience.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Previous experience in a supervisory or duty management role within a 5-star hotel environment.
Have a valid driver's license.
Be willing and able to work in a remote location.
Strong administrative, organizational, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
Proven customer service excellence with a focus on luxury hospitality standards.
Proficiency in Opera PMS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
