Main purpose of the job: Ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods and personnel Location: VIDA – Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Johannesburg, Gauteng Key performance areas: Transport Clients and/or packages to and from destinations safely Assist with general office support duties Test new drivers for studies and Unit Ensure vehicles are parked in designated areas Keep the vehicles clean and carry out the necessary checks Keep mileage records and repair records up to date Ensure vehicles are always fueled and ready for use Assist with assessing and reporting faults on all unit vehicles Report any vehicle faults, repairs, or accidents timely Operate the vehicle with care and consideration to other road users Liaise with management for daily transport schedule Complete relevant vehicle usage forms in accordance with policy Transport patients safely to and from destinations Transport staff for home visit purposes when required Obey traffic rules at all times Provide any other ad hoc duties as assigned by management Required minimum education and training: Matric Valid drivers' license Required minimum work experience: At least 1 year experience Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities: Self-motivated Ability to work under pressure including odd hours when necessary Good relating skills Time conscious Sound knowledge of the entire suburb of Soweto is an added advantage TO APPLY: Only if you do meet the minimum job requirements and experience as mentioned above, you may submit a detailed updated CV.
