Driver / StoremanWeir MineralsKathuOnsitePurpose of Role: An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Driver / Storeman at our Kathu branch to assist with ordering, preparing, receiving and delivery of stock to internal / external customers.Key Responsibilities:Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Adhere to all Safety Health Environment (SHE) and housekeeping requirements at the branch and customer sites at all times. Adhere to Duty of Care Policy at all times.Load stock / spares received on systemControl incoming and outgoing stockPicking, binning and loading of customer ordersPack and crate stock for customer ordersGeneral warehouse stock controlInspection of parts for potential defectsLoad and unload trucksCorrect identification of Weir partsDespatch, delivery and collection of stockPerform cycle counts on stockMaintain Weir delivery vehicles and operate with due diligenceManaging of stores / stockStores administrationLiaise with Admin and Service Centre staffWork standby and overtime as and when requiredJob Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:Matric (Grade 12) Certificate or any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives aboveRelevant tertiary certificate or equivalent an advantage (warehousing / logistics / stock control)2-3 years' related experience in warehousing / logistics / stock controlValid driver's licence (C1) and Professional Driver's Permit (PrDP)Valid forklift and overhead crane licencesComputer literate – Microsoft Office suite (ERP Software, e.g. SAP, Infor LN an advantage)Clear communication – verbal and writtenAbility to solve problems in a timely mannerDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughnessAbility to follow instructions and respond to management directionWeir Minerals is a leading solutions supplier providing smart, efficient and sustainable original equipment and aftermarket services to the global mining and construction aggregates industry.
