The main responsibility of this position is to drive and transport goods with heavy duty vehicles.
Skills : Timeous delivery of goods to clientsReporting maintenance requirementsPreventative maintenance Ensure that necessary equipment is on truck in order to ensure product can be offloaded at the client in the correct mannerCompletion of checklistsEnsure the truck is neat and clean according to food safety standardsMaintain professional relationships with clients Responsible for delivery documentationEnsure that all taupe line covers are all fastened and truck is correctly loaded according to delivery addressesEnsure correct offloading at clientsEnsure compliance to Safety food safety and environmental procedures and as per Soill PolicyResponsible for all documentation Delivery notes trip sheets vehicle inspections etc.Assist with warehouse related tasks as and when required such as (but not limited to) stock counts rotation of stock housekeeping offloading/loading of trucks Health and Safety Participate in safety forums created by Soill for example safety meetings and safety talksFollowup on any activities assigned through safety meetings / committees / representatives / managementReport all safety incidents to the relevant peopleAttend safety education and refresher programmesComply with safety policies and procedures at SoillDistribute safety information as and when requiredWear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
