Drive (Vsd) Technician

RPO's client is seeking a Drive Technician to repair, install, and service existing VSDs, as well as commission new general-purpose drive installations. This role is a hybrid position between site and office. Candidates will also need to interpret electrical drawings in fault-finding situations.ResponsibilitiesFault find and perform board-level repairs on variable speed drivesRun testing of variable speed drives to simulate faultsRun testing of variable speed drives after repairs are carried outInstall and commission variable speed drivesKeep an accurate timesheet and enter labor hours into the job management systemPerform fault finding on equipment on-site if requiredSource parts and create quotes that include an estimation of labourRequirementsProven working experience in an electronic technician's roleSolid understanding of electrical principles and electronic signalsProven ability to fault find using electrical drawingsDetail-oriented and organizedHands-on experience with variable speed drivesProficient in Microsoft Word and ExcelWell-spoken in EnglishCustomer service drivenRelevant qualifications in Electrical, Electronics10+ years of work experience in the electronics fieldBenefitsHighly competitive salary based on experienceHybrid role with both site and office workOpportunities for career growth and developmentContact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.
