Responsibilities: Design & Drafting Create and manage detailed 2D and 3D piping layouts using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, and Revit. Generate P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), isometric sketches, concept layouts, and tender drawings. Develop models and layouts for plant rooms, piping systems, and skid mounted solutions based on engineering input. Import and adapt models from various platforms (SolidWorks, Caddy, etc.) for Revit-based drawings. Site Integration & Support Conduct site visits to produce As-Built and As-Installed drawings with high accuracy. Identify and resolve design conflicts or clashes during construction and commissioning phases. Support the coordination of services, ensuring seamless integration across disciplines. Project Execution Assist project managers by providing comprehensive technical drawings and documentation aligned with project goals. Maintain and update drawing registers and support engineers with clash detection and services coordination during BIM meetings. Innovation & Development Standardize Revit families for commonly used refrigeration components. Research and implement best practices in Revit drawing management and digital workflows. Provide ad hoc support for 2D AutoCAD work and contribute to the development of presentation drawings. Team Leadership & Collaboration Manage drawing office tasks and coordinate with external draughtsman resources. Represent THE CLIENT in internal and external BIM coordination meetings. Qualifications Diploma in CAD Technologies (NQF 4 or higher) in disciplines such as Mechanical, Multidisciplinary, or Architectural Draughting. Beneficial: Courses in MEP services design or HVAC piping. Experience & Skills: Competent in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, Revit (Architectural & MEP), and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with SketchUp and advanced spatial visualization skills. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving ability and spatial awareness. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings such as P&IDs, isometric sketches, and hand-drafted concept layouts. Attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
