Key Responsibilities:Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models based on project requirements.Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project specifications and requirements.Revise and update existing drawings to reflect changes in design or manufacturing processes.Produce detailed drawings for use in fabrication and assembly.Ensure that all drawings adhere to industry and company standards and codes.Prepare bill of materials and other documentation to support production processes.Conduct site measurements and inspections when required to ensure drawings reflect accurate dimensions.Assist in resolving any design-related issues that arise during production.Maintain a database of drawings and revisions for reference and future use.Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth workflow between design and manufacturing.Qualifications and Experience:A diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an engineering or manufacturing environment.Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of engineering principles and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to drafting and design.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing drawings.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.Experience with mechanical components and manufacturing processes will be an advantage.Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external clients.Additional Skills:Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Strong organizational and time management skills.Proactive approach to identifying and solving design and production challenges.Remuneration:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
