Island Glass Ltd in Hamilton, BERMUDA is seeking a skilled door/window/glazing Installer to RELOCATE to the Island of BERMUDA and join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in installation and service of residential and commercial door/window and glass products, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial installations, ensuring that all glazing is fitted securely and meets manufacturers' specifications.
Responsibilities
Installation, service, and repair of commercial and residential door, window, and other glazing products (glass railings, shower enclosures, etc.).
Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation specifications.
Ensure proper handling of door, window, and glass materials to prevent damage during transportation to site as well as storage on site and during the installation process.
Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters, contractors, and drywall installers to complete projects efficiently.
Perform maintenance and service work on installed glazing products to ensure longevity and performance.
Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
Minimum 10 years experience in the Door, Window and Glazing industry (Residential and Commercial).
Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics.
Experience in both Installation and Service on Door/Window/Glazing products.
Knowledge of caulking techniques for sealing glass installations effectively.
Must be neat, tidy, organized, and articulate and be able to work well with others.
Ability to lift.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are essential for quality outcomes.
Mechanically minded.
Must speak and read English.
