Select your country to see jobs specific to your location.Divisional ICT Executive - Gauteng, East RandThe divisional ICT executive is responsible for facilitating, coordinating, and leading the implementation of a digital strategy at the division, with the primary objective of contributing to the overall success and achievement of the business objectives. The role is also responsible for the ongoing delivery of all ICT services at the division, continually ensuring their suitability and integrity. In exercising these responsibilities, the incumbent is required to ensure that ICT resources are effectively and efficiently used to meet the objectives of the business, and risks relating to the use of ICT in the company are appropriately managed.Reports to Divisional Chief Executive Officer.QualificationsA minimum of a B.Sc. or engineering degree (or equivalent).ExperienceMinimum of 10 years of direct relevant work experienceMinimum of 5 years management experience at senior management level or in a leadership rolePosition OverviewICT StrategySet strategic direction for ICT services and solutions and ensure end-to-end alignment to the objectives of the business.Display awareness of common service drivers, business needs, commercial and competitive drivers, business constraints and opportunities, market trends, and organizational dynamics.Provide guidance, advice, and input in support of the strategic decision-making process.Change ManagementEnsure that ICT investments are aligned to business needs, and projects are executed in line with the company standards.Recognize and take proactive steps in respect of business risks within the scope of all projects.Take responsibility for the design, build, and deploy processes, ensuring the allocation of appropriate expertise.Risk ManagementUnderstand the concepts of risk and risk management and comply with the KAP governance standards.Participate in the group of companies risk management process, ensuring transparent quantification of ICT risks.Continually ensure that internal control standards are effectively implemented, monitored, and executed by all stakeholders.Service ManagementEnsure ICT services are well defined, and service delivery meets agreed and expected levels.Ensure that the required quality of service is delivered utilizing the most cost-effective delivery channel.Oversee and integrate the delivery of services and solutions from all vendors.Formulate solutions for the supply of ICT services, which involves the scoping and specification of services, identification and choice of suppliers, and negotiation of contracts (in line with the group of companies procurement standards).Financial ManagementDevelop, administer, and optimize the total cost of ICT services and solutions.Align spend plans with business needs and continually look for new opportunities to optimize ICT costs.Validate the total cost of ICT services in line with Group of companies ICT expense allocation standards and ensure effective spend control.Continually assess, manage, and monitor financial risks.Performance ManagementPlan, prioritize and organize work and resources to ensure that goals are achieved in line with business strategy and operational needs.Drive optimization across demand (business needs) and delivery, and plan for the realization of continuous performance improvement.Actively promote the development of high-performance teams in all service channels.Demonstrate a flexible attitude to acquiring and developing skills - support a learning culture.Technical ManagementEnsure that an appropriate enterprise architecture strategy and design are applied across the divisions to sustainably meet the needs of the business.Ensure that appropriate technical strategies, policies, standards, and practices are established and applied.Ensure the adequate and effective use of quality control procedures on a continual basis, across the total enterprise architecture.Continually assess the potential benefit to the group of companies of emerging developments in technologies and technical services.Skills and Attributes RequiredBusiness Acumen.
