A new five-year contract position for Divisional Head: Business Development has opened at UWS, and qualified candidates are invited to apply for this strategic role, as outlined below. REF NUMBER: DHBDO20005285/09/24 Purpose of the Job: Develop and implement marketing, sales, and revenue growth strategies for UWS by expanding and enhancing new and existing products and service offerings in water and sanitation services.
* Build and sustain a positive organizational image to strengthen Umgeni Water Services' market presence and business opportunities.
* Ensure comprehensive feasibility and due diligence assessments for all transactions, including potential mergers and acquisitions.
* Implement robust corporate governance processes to ensure all business opportunities are thoroughly evaluated.
* Formulate and execute strategies to grow revenue by increasing market share in both existing and new markets.
* Design and implement cost reduction strategies to drive efficiency improvements for Umgeni Water Services and its customers.
* Oversee all capital projects, engineering, and operational functions within UWS to ensure effective execution and alignment with strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Minimum Qualifications:
* Matric with an Honours Degree (NQF Level 8) in Science or Engineering.
* An MBA/MBL or higher degree will have an added advantage.
Minimum Experience:
* A minimum of 7 years' experience in the water and sanitation services industry or similar industry of which 5 years should be in a strategic executive level or business development and marketing.
* Proven business development and marketing experience.
* Proven record in operations, engineering, and project management.
