Distribution ManagerProudly South African manufacturer of household cleaning, plastic ware, garden ware, and hardware products seeks a Distribution Manager to oversee daily operations of the region's warehouse and manage the 3rd party logistics providers for customer deliveries.Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage 3rd party logistics providers according to SLAs and targetsMonitor and improve daily delivery progress, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective solutionsMonthly damaged returns and late delivery analysisManage and optimize distribution cost efficienciesManage reverse logistics and administration process, ensuring timely and accurate processing of PODs, credits, and credit queriesManage inter-warehouse 3rd party logisticsOversee warehouse operations, including optimizing warehouse layout, minimizing stock losses, planning and coordinating stock takes, and implementing improvement initiativesImplement staff performance management and development programsDocument and ensure adherence to processes, procedures, and safety standardsMonthly management reports, including performance and operational analysis and efficienciesCustomer and stakeholder relationshipsDesired Experience & QualificationTertiary qualification in Logistics or similarMinimum of 8-10 years' distribution and warehousing experience, specifically within FMCG distribution environmentMinimum of 3-5 years experience in a management positionProven experience with WMS and ERP systems (JDE an advantage)LEAN or continuous improvement experience advantageousPackage & RemunerationR720 000 - R840 000 per annum
