Job ObjectivesEnsuring the Distribution Center is strategically aligned with the Supply Chain and business objectives to maintain the profitable growth of the business.Forecasting and maintaining production and transport cycles through departmental engagement.Analysis and reporting on operational reports such as item analysis, wastage, stock, movements etc.Ensuring operational policies and procedures are adhered to.Exception management, using business management systems, checks daily outputs and export complianceThe implementation and monitoring of national projects to ensure operational efficiency and success.Ensure all SLA's are in place for critical equipment on site.Ensure that all health and safety protocols are maintained and according to standard.Review weekly KPI's to determine workload verses cost to meet objectives with minimum use of overtime.Manage departmental outputs to accomplish the desired targets through effective management of staff, planning and evaluation of departmental activities to enable business efficiency and growth.Effective management of ACMS staffing, SOP compliance and claims.Develop, collaborate and engage strong functional relationships with (Operations, Home Office, Divisional Office, Customers, Third parties etc.)Monitoring product quality from suppliers and ensure products are handled and stored correctly to reduce and eliminate product damages.Ensure queries on delivery discrepancies are resolved timeously.Review and evaluate cost effectiveness, consistency, quality, accuracy, and performance to company standards and take action as necessary to correct discrepancies.Manage and maintain production capacity to meet customer demands.Must analyze trends, solve problems, motivate & develop associates in order to maximize contribution to the company success.Safeguards Distribution center operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocolsQualificationsDegree in Supply chain, Logistics or equivalent
ExperienceMinimum of 5 years' experience in a managerial position within Supply Chain/ Distribution/ Logistics environment
