The responsibility of the Dispatch and Delivery Manager is to direct and oversee the daily activities relating to a specific distribution hub, area or function.
Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing, in a timely manner, the daily activities of a given hub/area and implementing programs that ensure the needs of all functions within that area.
This position is based in Vredenburg.
Query and Resolution:First time tracking query complaints resolution.Execution of Pre-alerted priority parcels.Execution of the problem parcel report.Handling of collections in a timely manner.Asset & Fleet Management:Vehicle InspectionsMonitoring of movement reportsUpdated vehicle registerCompliance of vehicle services intervals & general maintenance of vehicles, updated equipment registersKey Performance Indicators:Branch delivery SLA of 98%.Staff as per budgeted growth.Image PODs to be loaded after delivery was executed.Managing accurate deliveries to signee and co-signee only.Responsible for overall housekeeping and maintenance on fleet and premises.Adherence to company policies and procedures within the basic conditions of the employment act.Ability to focus on customer needs and customer service while ensuring that all policies and procedures are met.Identify, through a proactive approach, potential cost-saving and efficiency gain opportunities in a specific area to improve overall site operating metrics.Responsible for developing and maintaining a high level of employee morale and dedication to serving customers.
Conducts themselves and all activities and accountabilities in a manner that is consistent with respect for people values and company policies.Plan and manage all hub activities and deliveries pertaining to a specific area in order to meet or exceed SLA requirements.Responsible for training of new employees and ongoing training to ensure quality and productivity goals are met or exceeded.Lead, direct, train and manage the performance of the distribution team.Minimum Qualifications:Grade 12 (Matric)National Diploma (3yrs) or Higher in Logistics/Distribution/Freight/Courier or Supply Chain Management (Ideal)"Medipost Holdings is committed to the promotion of employment equity within the workplace which is a driving factor in all recruitment decisions.
