Discovery is Recruiting for Junior AnalystMaintaining our clients' Data and Reporting needs on a Weekly/Monthly basis.In the Discovery Health Data Intelligence unit, our core purpose is "creating intelligence for a healthier tomorrow" by leveraging Discovery's vast data to drive valuable insights to improve both clinical and operational environments. Key to our purpose is obtaining and structuring quality data, leveraging cutting-edge analytical innovations, and delivering actionable insights in a sustainable and meaningful way. We leverage an integrated, collaborative, and multidisciplinary approach to ensure our objectives and goals are met.Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to:Responsible for maintaining monthly production of Data and Reporting needs.Interact directly with clients, gathering information and implementing any change requests to their current reports.Working with assigned dashboards and checklists, reviewing to ensure all requirements have been captured (Quality Assurance).Collect data, analyse trends, summarise, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.Build tables, graphs, and presentations using approved tools.Perform ad-hoc support to our clients and internal Teams.Create/maintain all Production Documentation.Technical core skills:Excellent conceptual and technical ability.Excellent communications, both written and verbal.Comfortable presenting to external parties.Accuracy (Advanced).Analytical (Advanced).Strong team player.Ability to work in a collaborative/problem-solving environment.Ability to multitask.Education and Experience:Completed a post-secondary diploma/degree in the fields of Coding, Business Analysis, Mathematics, or Statistics.1-2 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, with a proven ability to leverage data to drive business insights.Must have a strong understanding and interest in the following:Data management principles and analytical techniques.Skills in Microsoft Excel:Macros: Automation of repetitive tasks to enhance efficiency.VLOOKUPs: Streamlining data retrieval for analysis.Pivot Tables: Creating dynamic reports and summarizing large datasets.Ability to effectively communicate data findings using tools such as PowerPoint and Excel.Experience with the following would be considered an asset for this role:Development tools such as Python, VBA, and SQL.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.Experience with any Dashboard tools.Closing date: OngoingLocation: Sandton, Gauteng
