An established logistics and freight giant is looking to add a Disbursement Financial Controller to their team based in Johannesburg East.Reference: NWN000075-NBo-1Duties & ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of internal control in the disbursements management process.
Ensuring the completeness of accounting postings, payments, and the integrity of disbursement data in the group accounting systems.
Ensuring that appropriate levels of segregation of duties are maintained throughout the disbursement process.
Monitoring and ensuring completeness of all disbursement activities and related documentation.
Tracking and monitoring implementation of all disbursement function related audit recommendations.Other duties include but are not limited to:Ensure the completeness of accounting postings, payments, and the integrity of disbursement data in the group accounting systems.Ensure that appropriate levels of segregation of duties are maintained throughout the disbursement process.Monitor and ensure completeness of all disbursement activities and related documentation.Track and monitor implementation of all disbursement function related audit recommendations.Lead and coordinate training of new field offices disbursement personnel.Serve as the focal point to ensure the harmonization of disbursement practices across locations.Ensure the quality and consistency of disbursement reports.Provide analytical and data management support for monitoring group-wide disbursement activities.Prepare and monitor monthly KPIs.Implement consistent checks on the accounting process in the cluster - review provisions.Prevent errors by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reporting.Month end reporting.EducationCompleted BCom in Accounting.Job Experience & Skills RequiredMinimum of 3 years in a similar role.Strong accounting and computer literacy.Experience in disbursement audit beneficial.Strong advanced Excel skills.Attention to detail.Effective communication skills.Organizational skills.Team player.Deadline driven.Effectively works under pressure.Package & RemunerationR 576000 - R 720000APPLY NOW!If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.Please only apply if this ad is relevant to your skill set.
