Disbursement Financial Controller

You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of internal control in the disbursements management process. Ensuring the completeness of accounting postings, payments, and the integrity of disbursement data in the group accounting systems. Ensuring that appropriate levels of segregation of duties are maintained throughout the disbursement process. Monitoring and ensuring completeness of all disbursement activities and related documentation. Tracking and monitoring implementation of all disbursement function related audit recommendations. Other duties include, but are not limited to:Ensure the completeness of accounting postings, payments and the integrity of disbursement data in the group accounting systemsEnsure that appropriate levels of segregation of duties are maintained throughout the disbursement processMonitor and ensure completeness of all disbursement activities and related documentationTrack and monitor implementation of all disbursement function related audit recommendationsLead and coordinate training of new field office's disbursement personnelServe as the focal point to ensure the harmonization of disbursement practices across locationsEnsure the quality and consistency of disbursement reportsProvide analytical and data management support for monitoring group-wide disbursement activitiesPrepare and monitor monthly KPIsImplement consistent checks on the accounting process in the cluster - review provisionsPrevent errors by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for financial reportingMonth end reportingEducation:Completed BCom in AccountingJob Experience & Skills Required:Minimum of 3 years in a similar roleStrong accounting and computer literacyExperience in disbursement audits and processesStrong Advanced Excel skills (Pivots, Graphs, Complex Functions) non-negotiableAttention to detailEffective communication skillsOrganizational skillsTeam playerDeadline drivenEffectively works under pressureAPPLY NOW!
