Key qualifications and experience required for the Director of Strategic Partnerships: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (i.e., finance, accounting or business science) A minimum of 10 years of experience in the financial services sector Fully qualified CFA/CFP is advantageous Demonstrated success in managing distribution channels within a financial services company Previous experience as a Regional Business Head with oversight of financial advisors is highly preferred Strong financial management skills In-depth knowledge of FAISA and a solid understanding of financial markets Extensive experience and a thorough understanding of the financial services advisory landscape in the Western Cape Proficiency in technology and digital enablement tools Key duties of the Director of Strategic Partnerships: Execute the broader strategy of the business in the Western Cape region Manage all regional office operations including cost management and profitability focus Oversee staff development, coaching, and training Ensure efficient practice operation through training and accreditation Proactively acquire quality advisor practices with emphasis on IFA markets Promote adoption of best advice practices by advisors focusing on client experience outcomes Implement best practice processes in line with proprietary practice management frameworks Develop the company's brand through regional marketing and activation events Key personal skills: Possesses a strong entrepreneurial mindset with innovative thinking Skilled at identifying opportunities for growth and innovation Performance-driven and excels in an owner-managed business environment Ability to demonstrate empathy as a key soft skill, allowing you to connect effectively with people at all levels Sales / Retail / Business Development jobs
