The Director of Operations reports to the Managing Director and will have overall responsibility for the company's effective operations including Finance, Supply Chain and Human Resources.
Key responsibilities: Supply Chain Operations Develop and execute supply chain strategies to optimize procurement, production, and distribution processes.
Monitor and manage supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between supply chain activities and overall business objectives Financial Management Manage and coordinate all company finance-related activities and resources including asset control, profit control, and internal control.
Maintain risk management, and statutory compliance Oversee financial reporting (including management reporting and shareholder reporting) Human Resources Ensuring compliance with labour laws & regulations including health and safety rules.
Build positive relationships with employees, and improving employee satisfaction and productivity.
Manage compensation and benefits packages.
Support employee training and development needs Managing equity, diversity and inclusion efforts.
Assisting group BBBEE efforts.
Competencies and experience: At least 5 years experience at senior-level general, financial or operational management Strong financial acumen Multi industry experience and ability to build customer relationships Strategic mindset with a strong drive to implement and collaborate Proven people leader Suitable higher level degree or qualification This role will suit a Senior Operations Leader who is people centred.
