We are seeking to appoint an imaginative and confident leader, who will be committed to shaping the future of Mission and Ministry in our diocese.
You will have a central role in encouraging both lay and ordained ministry to help realise our vision of a church where sustainable parishes thrive, and disciples grow and develop.
You will be responsible for leading the Mission and Ministry Team into the next phase of supporting our Diocesan Transformation Programme, further developing and implementing our priority to properly equip our ministers for mission.
In this role, you will:Enjoy developing strategy as well as being a hands-on team memberBe an inspiring presenter and an organised leaderHave leadership experience in a church or charitable organisation and have enjoyed leading and managing others in a changing environment.A coaching qualification and experience of facilitating adult formation and learning will be an advantage.
There is a genuine occupational requirement that the appointee must be a communicant member of the Church of England or of a church in full communion with it, and eligible to hold the Bishop's authorisation to preach and to lead public worship.
