Director of Finance – CA (SA) GAP Talent is proud to partner a growing Technology Company in their search for a Head of Finance. After securing significant US and UK investment, this UK HQ'd company is seeking a perceptive financial professional, boasting extensive expertise, preferably within the technology sector.
The role encompasses comprehensive control and accountability for all fiscal facets of the enterprise in the pursuit of its outlined strategy.
This individual will be tasked with steering and supervising the financial team through time-sensitive intervals, including monthly closures, year-end processes, and quarterly budgeting procedures.
Exceptional communication abilities are imperative for the Lead of financial operations to engage effectively with personnel at all tiers, suppliers, and associated stakeholders. They will collaborate with various departments, aiding in the formulation and management of their budgets, forecasts, and OKRs, comprehending key variances, and endorsing pertinent corrective measures.
Responsibilities: Formulate and execute financial strategies to ensure the fiscal well-being and stability of the organization. Draft and enforce suitable financial policies and manage all month-end, year-end, and budgeting processes. Generate timely and comprehensive managerial reports, encompassing all pertinent OKRs. Oversee the organization's cash flow and liquidity, and devise strategies to optimize financial assets. Devise quarterly budgets and forecasts, leading the budgeting initiative. Keep the executive board informed of operational concerns that may impact the business's financial performance, and prepare any required board documentation. Present the annual financial statements and offer insights and recommendations to the Leadership team. Evaluate and oversee financial risks, including credit and investment risks, establishing recovery plans in the event of account disparities. Collaborate with the firm's auditors and supervise the auditing process. Financially assess any alterations in strategy, ensuring the business is structured optimally to maximize cash flow and profitability. Guarantee adherence to financial regulations and laws, maintaining relations with regulatory bodies. Cultivate and sustain exceptional relations with all stakeholders, including management, staff, auditors, and investors. Oversee, enhance, and cultivate all personnel within the financial domain.
Qualifications: Graduation in a business or finance-related field Accredited Chartered Accountant, CA (SA) A minimum of 8 years (6 years if possessing industry-specific experience) post-qualification involvement in a correlated industry role.
Compensation:
Base salary: R1.8 to R2m
Plus potential equity
