Director Of Engineering | Progressing To Usa Location

The Director of Engineering position will be based in Cape Town for a minimum of 12 months, and will then be based in USA. Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in managing designers and reporting managers.
Qualifications and experience :

BEng-degree (mechanical or electronic or electrical or mechatronic).
Master's degree will be beneficial.
Minimum 15 years of engineering working experience.
Automotive industry.
Minimum 5 years proven track record of leading and mentoring a team.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage the direction and daily activities of the Engineering team.
Oversee process improvements to the product development process.
Lead the development of reporting managers.
Oversee the development of the department.
Interact will all levels of company management.
Work closely with key suppliers and customers.
